A Capella Project in Progress

In late December, I started writing lyrics for a song that would not stop running through my head. This song was through-composed and a popular style composition, and the lyrics spoke freely about love and being let down by someone I trusted. I didn't touch the lyrics I had written or put any music down for them in any way for months. Just a few weeks ago, I decided that the best way to get this song out to the world was to make it an A Capella piece which I would record each separate part for and sing "with myself". To me, "singing it with myself" and having it be A Capella allows for a rawness and honesty to the song that I think gets across the message. As of right now, I have recorded a few of the initial parts for the song, and I have set a deadline for myself to have the piece finished by May 20th. I am looking forward to having a finished product for this piece to put it out into the world.
